Summary: Leonard Evans is an internationally renowned expert in traffic safety. He holds a doctorate in physics from Oxford University, England. His influential 1991 book Traffic Safety and the Driver is widely acclaimed as a classic. Dr. Evans is president of Science Serving Society, an organization he formed to continue research and other professional activities after completing a 33-year research career with General Motors.... His numerous professional recognitions for contributions to traffic safety include awards from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the International Traffic Medicine Association, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, and the Human Factors Society.
