The practice problems were helpful and most of the chapter explanations were helpful.read more
Simplifying the language a little bit would help make the concepts more clear and easier to understand.
Some of the methods that are used in the book are outdated. My professor had showed us more updated versions of how to calculate some of the calculus problems.read more
This book is overall a good and easy to understand book that helped me learn calculus.
Thomas calculus taught me see how to find areas of not only 2 dimensional objects from an equation but also from 3 dimensional objects. It was a tough course but was very helpful and lead to my success in the class.read more
My class, Calculus 1, was taught at Northwestern College in orange city. It was a very challenging course with thought provoking questions daily. This class was challenging but definitely possible.

Calculus. The textbook was effective, I used the book for Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Calculus 3. There was a wide enough range of topics covered to use for all three semesters.
I still have not used this textbook in my three semester series but I have read it and it looks like the topics are explained in a very simple language which is extremely important in calculus.read more
