Most interesting thing that I learned in this book is the depth that they go into explaining Catholic figures such as St. Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, etc. This was interesting to me because I didn't have previous background before going through this book.read more
The material within the book tries to make it easy for the audience to understand what they're trying to say. As well, the book's order makes sense; not scattered around or scattered thoughts.

Each chapter contained a timeline with important dates and a brief summary of the events that occurred on them, a list of key terms, questions to answer about the reading to review the chapter, and a list of other recommended works to read. These might be basic things for most textbooks, but for someone like me with no background at all in theology they were extremely helpful when it came to reviewing each chapter and making sure I really understood everything I was reading.
