The article on avatar and its depiction on slaves and how it is Parallel to the way slaves were done from their features to the stone the "master" was trying to Steal.

Smaller articles or the professor making me read smaller articles because some were extremely too long. I prefer a short read packed full of information.

To teach critical thinking and writing skills. The book was very affective!

I learned to be a better writer by learning how to structure my papers in a professional manner.

This book is pretty neat. It has several short essays by several different authors. It is a collection of stories that are easy to give an opinion on. I like that there is so many stories so I could pick whatever I wanted to write about.

There are a lot of different subjects in this book. Anything from is Batman gay to whether reality TV is bad for us or not. What I had to read for class was good, but there are some super interesting stories to read just for fun. There is a subject for almost everyone in this book.

Passages in the book were useful just to make references when doing my essays.

What was interesting was the way that society changes you and tries to make you fit in.

The quotes and stories to do my essays it was quite helpful because its very detailed and organized.

The most interesting that I learned in this book was about advertising and racial and gender discrimination and how its everywhere. There is so much hate and misunderstanding in the world and how it affects the media. The news, movies and shows of what women, men and children watch and they think its alright to do so. Especially what society presents us with and if we will follow everyone else or make a stand to what we believe in.

Mostly the articles and essays on pop culture in the book. One particular essay I enjoyed reading was called Race Relations Light Years from Earth. This talked about avatar as a racist film and made several very interesting insights.

English 102 was the class that required me to purchase this particular book in question. Very enjoyable class

Everything is interesting to read. I often found myself reading excerpts in my spare time, even if they weren't assigned by my English professor.

There are many different excerpts that cover a broad range of topics. The information is easy to understand and makes for a great essay.
