The most useful thing I learned from this book was the use of many different types of writing skills. To read all of these different stories and to be able to visualize them as the author intended is quit intriguing.

The most interesting thing that I learned in this book was the concept of the author that wrote Approaching Short Fiction Critically. The author sheds a new light on how students think about their work and it being picked apart by others. The students may be very good at writing and love to write but be reluctant to share their work with others. The author elaborates on this concept.
