I would definitely have to say that the background on the Asian culture and how the United states affected their coming to America. This was most interesting to me because I knew little about our history with the Asian culture and even less about their way of life in their country and how they practice the same beliefs while trying to learn and cope within our culture.

This book was a wonderful read! I obtained a lot of knowledge that I can use in my career field. I recommend anyone who is looking to go into social work, work with diverse groups of people or those who want to learn more about people to read this book.read more
The most useful thing I learned is that prejudging people based on preconceived ideas is immature and silly.
It was a class that involved a lot of writing and the teacher was very vocal and you could tell she knew what she was talking about. The textbook was very easy to understand and it was used a lot in class. The teacher was very interactive with her students and I learned a lot in that class. It was my first time taking a sociology class and I really enjoyed it. It was a nice and very interesting class. I all so found the text book to have a lot of cool facts.read more
The glossary wasn't that great when I was looking for words, but other than that the book was very helpful and wasn't difficult to understand at all. I do wish the glossary had more words.
