It was used for psychology 101 and why people act a certain way and do things a certain way
Of all the books I've ever purchased for both high school and college, this one had the most interesting information to read. Granted, I didn't have time to read everything, but what I did read almost didn't even seem like it was coming from a textbook. There were jokes, personality in the writing, fun historical facts, and some of the information I learned I still tell people about today. It really was well put together.read more
The psychology class I took didn't really depend on this book other than the weekly (sometimes twice a week) quizzes that the professor put out online. Most of the lectures given were on topic with the given chapters, but you could get away with not reading it until it came time to take the quiz. I honestly enjoyed just reading little parts of the book here and there; at times it didn't even feel like I was reading a textbook.
What the most useful thing that I learned from this Psychology book is that I learned the different functions of the brain.read more

Psychology. It was very effective as it was very easy to understand.
I learned a lot more about myself and the different ways that my mind and behavior are connected. I thoroughly enjoyed my Psychology 101 class and feel as though this textbook greatly facilitated my learning journey. Specifically, chapter 7, regarding learning (i.e. classical and operant conditioning) was very interesting and summarized the different methods of learning in a concise, well thought out manner.read more
