He has received over $5 million in government and foundation grants to study intelligence and related topics, and is currently involved in several projects in the schools, including the development of a program for teaching practical and creative intelligence for schools to sixth-graders. Sternberg has won numerous awards from various organizations, including the American Psychological Association, American Educational Research Association, Guggenheim Foundation, Society for Multivariate Experimental Psychology, and the National Association for Gifted Children.
