This book would be better if it were light and not as big. It would also be better if my instructors used it more.read more
This book is better than other physics books because it has a lot of examples and answers in the back. It is also pretty easy to follow just the figures and key terms without actually reading.
Everything from basic laws of motion and thermodynamics to nuclear and electrical engineeringread more
This book is a great physics book. It covers three semesters of material. Not sure how it could be improved.
I thought this was a very well rounded book for learning physics, aside from a little dry reading.read more
This book helps you understand better by giving examples that are already worked out.
It explained the concepts better than the instructorread more
The homework help online that corresponds with each chapter, it guides the student through each problem, not just gives the answer like the back of the book
Physics is the primary subject. Excellent book. It covers information from introduction of physics to the many different particular areas such as Newton's Law, gravity, and thermodynamics.read more
Instructor used material directly out of this book. Having the book made it much easier to understand. Lots of diagrams, formulas, examples given.
I felt this book was very good with examples and very readable compared to some books that lagged on or was a boring read.read more
I used this book for a 300 level physics class that taught heat/energy/waves.
I actually really enjoyed this book. It was very helpful both during the course and later to use again as a quick reference.read more
I don't know. It seemed pretty good as it was. Just keep that price down.
I would provide better diagrams to properly exemplify and illustrate many of the conceptually difficult theories that are conveyed in this book.read more
I learned a lot about basic physics and how it relates in everyday situations. Additionally, this textbook helped me prepare for the physics section of the MCAT.
Has simple explanations to understand subject.; Some example problems are hard to work and understand since the book only shows one type of example.read more
