The only thing it needs is more extensive online quizzes and tests. It's well laid out and easy to understand. The only other thing I'd change is that it will sometimes discuss a drug in two different places, so it can be difficult to find the information needed about thedig. The index could be better too.

There were no in book exercises and quizzes, which would have been helpful.

The reading was very clinical. real life examples would be nice

It did a good job explaining medications and their importance in nursing more thought goes into giving medications then just verifying the patient. Many have interactions and side effects that many nurses don't think about.

The most interesting thing I learned from this book was that grapefruit juice can increase the affects of medications creating a harmful interaction.

This book gave me an in-depth understanding of a vast array of medications and how they apply to nursing, specifically how to administer medications and what side effects to look for.

I got a better understanding of pharmacology after using this book. Instead of using a drug guide to study medications, this book gave me a better understanding.

I had multiple classes that required this text, all of which were medication centered.

This text was an easy read and very helpful in breaking things done.

I was able to Understand the course material very easily. The course was hard and the book explain things simplistically.

The way the book was outlined was perfect. It has broad categories, then goes into specifics of each drug.

First semester of a BSN program, Pharmacology, required me to use this textbook, in prep of the Pharmacology ATI. The course went along with the textbook, but did not require knowledge of every drug listed in this textbook.

this book is very, very long, thick, and heavy. I, personally, would recommend making this book 2 seperate volumes. also, it is very "long-winded". I would have to go back and read some paragraphs multiple times in order to understand what was being said.

Lots of tables and pictures to help you memorize side effects and nursing implications. Come with access to the website with quizzes as well.

I believe that this book could have been condensed and/or focused on the pharmacological effects and the mechanism of action of each drug class. For the general pharmacology class that we required this textbook we rarely opened the book or used this information because our professor created a more condensed book for our class. On the other hand I believe it is a good resource for individuals who may also need anatomy or pathophysiology review to succeed in the course.

This was used for my Pharmacology class required for the Nursing ASN program we rarely used the book and our teacher focused more on memorizing the mechanism of action for each drug class and we hardly used this textbook.

I used this book quite a bit in class. It was simple and to the point.

I like the areas that were hi-lited for learning and the topics of interest.
