I was required to read this book for an honors class. It was supposed to be a new perspective for us to examine.

It was a new and interesting way to study a different perceptive because the book was a graphic novel.

A personal reflection on Satrapis own life throught the Iran-Iraq war. Pretty much what she had to go through and see in her childhood growing up in the middle of this war. It was very interesting and I believe the author made it very clear what she seen and how history was while in her childhood.

Honestly, The part where she talked to God through it all was most useful. Helped me understand that, in third world countries, they may very well not have as much as we do here in the USA but they sure keep the faith strong.

I liked the comic images. The pictures were colorful and graphic. It portrayed the art history of a time period that was central to the culture. It is easy to read and enjoyable to follow.

I would change the organization. There are no chapters or page notes. I can get lost in where I am in the story because the images all look alike.
