The study guide was an extension of the book and helped solidify the body mechanisms.
This book is amazing, well written, and an outstanding tool to help gain a background of pathophysiology. The most interesting thing I learned in this book was the multiple diseases that could progress due to minor issues in the body, such as the use of medications, or a minor cold.read more
This book is extremely long due to the fact of all the information needed to be put into it. I would not change one thing about the book, I would just advise the reader to read what they need to know rather than read this book cover to cover.

Primary subject of the book was mainly about disease. I thought it was very effective also had a lot of added material to make sure you grasped the concept.
Extremely dense and thorough coverage of pathophysiology of all body systems. Well organized and with interesting pictures, tables, and graphs. It was very helpful to me for review and deeper understanding of pathophysiology.read more
It is extremely heavy. Not fun to tote in a backpack. It would be nice if there was an online version of the textbook accessible.
The book itself is very detailed, with a lot of information to take in, but again all Pathophysiology courses are challenging. There is a readers digest version one can purchase which helps summarize this book, but many time you need the details this book has to offer.read more
Pathophysiology for Nursing, a required class the first semester of Nursing school at Florida Gulf Coast University.
This is an excellent book that covers the complexities of the human body and the disease process in a very organized and easy to understand manner. The workbook is good too. I found the website that is included that gives practice tests and reviews for each chapter a real bonus.read more
This book was much more detailed. Especially helpful was the added website with additional reviews and practice exams. I did not find this feature in other books
