I learned everything about nutrition using patient care settings to apply the knowledge. I learned the basic fundamentals of nutrition and then learned about various nutritional therapies for different diseases and disorders. I learned to define health, wellness and use a holistic approach to apply my knowledge about nutrition thanks to this book.read more
This book is great, it is easy to read and does a great job at highlighting the most appropriate information.
The chapters towards the end. The chapters at the beginning were the best with concise boxes detailing diet requirements, explanations of daily nutritional norms, and the way it introduced nutrition.read more
More concise chapters, boxes detailing the important information, more concise breakdown of diets and restrictions in a more straightforward manner.

It was all very helpful. Had great detailed information. Pictures for examples and it taught me a lot about foods. What's healthy what's not, how to read the nutrition fact labels on all food items. Very helpful. I'd recommend this book to anyone.

I can't think of any recommendations to improve this textbook.
The only thing I would suggest is placing all of the indexes together and making them more simple to locate. The book itself was easy to read and was a great resource to the class! Locating some of the indexes, especially in regard to vitamin benefits could get challenging because there were several indexes that could have the information could have been provided in one, which would have made the cumulative review of this text more productive.read more
This book provides a great review of the nutritional needs of people in general, but also a great outline of for nutritional needs and routes of administration for those patients that have diseases that are directly affected by their diets.
