This book covered the subject clearly and thoroughly. However, the Kindle downloaded version was lacking. I ended up buying the printed version because the charts are nearly impossible to see, and there are many charts.

This text is written for lower division students, so the biochemistry, physiology and other science topics are necessarily simplified. However, many of the science explanations are too vague or incomplete to make sense and there are numerous errors of fact. Worse, however, is the fact that the authors of this text give no sense of the controversies in nutrition; instead they present opinions with no evidence

The layout of the text and the end of chapter summary and reviews

It was very well written and easy to understand. It wasn't one of those books you have to be a science major or genius to understand.

The importance of nutrition to the human body and how food choices effect the body.

I thought that the book provided good, basic information that was good for an intro. to nutrition class, so I did not have a least favorite.
