It was required to understand medical language which is a language of its own, especially for developing nursing diagnoses.

I learned a lot of medical terms and how to define them by breaking the words down into its specific roots, prefixes and suffixes. It is a great book!read more
This book focuses on biology, primarily on the molecules and cells essential to biology. This book was extremely efficient in covering the biology subject. My professor lectured on almost everything from this book.

the most important thing i learned was how the words are seperated, so now i dont have to reflect on the book to figure out what a type of disease/disorder/ surgery etc is
The body systems chapter is less than stellar but it does the job of giving a general, very general, idea of the bodily systems.read more
The Spanish dictionary part was least helpful. Then again, I am not Spanish so I didn't need that part.
