Ace Johnson and his little brother Deuce are eleven months apart. With Ace being a preacher and Deuce being a rapper, there are very few similarities between the two. One thing they do have in common is that they both choose to stay in the projects in spite of their mother’s success. While Ace is forever trying to convince Deuce to do something with his life, they also have to deal with the mind games and pressuring of a local drug dealer named Cold, whom they’ve known all of their lives. Ace gets very frustrated over the fact that he can help everyone in the projects except for his brother, and he vows to himself that he will save his brother. However, as he does so, he tends to lose his religion. Will Deuce let his brother into his heart, or are all of Ace’s efforts in vain? But Deuce isn’t Ace’s only problem. Ace is in love with his girlfriend Tara, but suspects something strange about her and her daughter. At the same time, Deuce meets a girl who has him making unusual decisions. There’s so much going on between the boys, their friends, and their girlfriends that it actually ties into one big drama-fest, but it also shows the role that God plays in their lives.
