This book has the dos and donts in the counseling field. I learned how to cover my own self when working with clients so I dont get sued.

I learned how to use ethical methods and how they pertain to the state and federal laws and found them most useful to me.

I found this entire book to be helpful in addressing the issues and ethics that helping professionals can encounter.

The most interesting thing that I learned in this book was when it addressed special ethical considerations and the vast number of ethical issues that need to be considered hen working with various populations.

Easy to understand, very well written and has a lot of the topics spoken in class. This is a book requested for most human services majors so it is good to have it.

Nothing, is a great book. My only problem with it is that it's quite heavy and I had to carry plenty of books around.

Maybe to include a CD with some situational experiences to be able to process and then see if a student can come to a conclusion as to what the best ethical/legal approach would be.

How it was easily broke down into different categories as to what types of issues and ethics could be displayed in the workplace. I also liked the assessments at the beginning of the chapter, and then the fact that you could read over the chapter and then go back to the assessment again and make your selection and see how your viewpoints may have changed due to becoming more educated within the chapter readings.

This was for a undergrad Social Work class called Introduction to Ethics. The class had us using the NASW and the Ohio Code of Ethics and comparing the two a lot to find inconsistencies, and this book was a guide for doing that, and for presenting ethical dilemmas.

This book presented many situations in where the "best" response was not obvious. It showed how important it is to have personal guidelines in place before encountering these situations in the real world. The content of the book wasn't extremely engaging, but the overall topic is very relevant and interesting.
