But that does not even begin to convey what the Berger experience is: What makes these bestselling textbooks so distinctive is the unmistakable presence of KATHLEEN STASSEN BERGER on every page, in writing that continually draws ...on the author's teaching and family life to demonstrate a remarkable understanding not just of the field, but of students' questions, their concerns, and their lives. The distinctive, definitive BERGER touch is evident throughout her new textbook,Invitationto the Life Span. This brief, original, 15-chapter textbook was created from page 1 to address the challenges teachers and students face when covering the entire life span in a semester (or even a quarter!). Great overview of how humans grow and develop. The material was written in a way that was easy to understand.

How babies develop in the womb and the complexity of this process. I never knew that much about babies and I feel I would be prepared to raise children.

The primary subject to this book was learning about each specific life span from birth until death. Each period gave a well thought out description of how each period in you life is explained.

This material helped in knowing how each period in our lives worked in how we talk, act, and basically live in our world today.

I haven't read other books on the subject matter, but I thought this was a good introduction to psychology.

The most useful thing learned was probably how you can analyze everything a person does, and we try to find meaning behind it. There are thousands of theories on why people are the way they are.

Loved this book. I used it a lot on my online class. Most interesting thing was the childhood portion.

Inttoduction to Pshychology , the book was very good and not a hard textbook to understnad. Also our professor went off of the textbook so it made the class easier versus professors that tell you to buy and text but don't go off it.

It was easy to find terms or subjects and an easy book to read.

There is not anything I would change about this book. It has very detailed and drawn out information. It also had a lot of charts and pictures and scientific responses and historical responses as well.

It helped me understand the course material because of the vocabulary definitions and charts and tables with valuable information to the most important subject being taught.

It's a good book but it had a lot of unneeded pictures.

the book is about our changing minds through our life span. it does a very good job of explaining what happens to us as we get grow. i enjoyed it because I think it's important to be self aware without being self conscious. also it's a must read to anyone expecting a child.
