I don't know that any part of the book wasn't helpful. My instructor definitely highlighted some areas and we went over those in class. I guess, since we didn't really study the pregnancy issues in my class, that would have been the least helpful area.

There were so many things I learned from this book! I was surprised at how well-written and interesting it actually was, since I expected the class and book to be boring. I learned, most of all, about my own unconscious stereotypes and the facts that you learn from all the studies changed my perspective. It's a really, really great book.

How the human developed based in psychologist theories. I liked how many people believe so many different things.

I like the side comment and notes. They helped inside my classroom tremendously !(:

This book covers every aspect of human development from before birth to death. It is very thorough and easy to read and even has color and pictures.

This book made things nice to read with the color and pictures and little excerpts, instead of being straight information the whole time.

The content of the book was fair yet rather dull. Especially towards the end of the book, the information about the older generations and aging were very sad. The chapters did not mention the happy improvements that society has been making such as water aerobics and technology.

i enjoyed learning about the childhood and pre-adolescence of life. I plan to work with children and was thus fascinated by the cognitive abilities of the age group.
