This book opened my eyes to some everyday things I did not think about. This book should be read by everybody. I learned that stress can lead to all kinds of illnesses, obesity can lead to a lot of sicknesses, and if you eat right and exercise on a regular basis, you have a better quality of life.

The most useful thing I learned from this book was how to manage my stress levels. Exercise and sleep are the main ways to manage stress. Everybody has stress, how you manage it is the key to how it effects you.

More research based/supported diagnoses. I feel making that type of connection to the field of health psychology would have supported the issues presented. As it was, there were so many terms and sub-terms and then areas under that. SO much information to be retained without making 'real world experience/research" connections.

The book was written in a language level most any student would understand, It was broken down into easy to remember chapters and sections. There was just so much new terms, definitions, and explanations that the information was hard to justify keeping it in long-term. I would like to have seen at least one case that supported or reviewed the key concepts of each chapter. It was still an easy book to read.

My psychology of health class required this text to assist with teacher lectures.

The most useful thing I learned from the book was the statistics about smoking and drinking and the prevention and treatment of both addictions.
