Daniel G. Amen, M.D., is a clinical neuroscientist, psychiatrist, and director of the Amen Clinics in Newport Beach and Fairfield, California, as well as in Tacoma, Washington. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of "the brain and behavior," and lectures to thousands of psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, psychotherapists, and judges each year. Dr. Amen has pioneered the clinical use of brain SPECT imaging in psychiatry. The Amen Clinics have the world's largest database of brain images relating to behavior. He has presented his groundbreaking research on brain imaging and behavior internationally. Dr. Amen did his psychiatric training at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Routh, M.D., is a neuropsychiatrist with special training in neurology, general psychiatry, child psychiatry, and functional brain imaging. She is a graduate of Texas A and M University College of Medicine and received specialty training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Timberlawn Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Roth is licensed in nuclear brain imaging and was formerly the medical director of the Amen Clinic in Newport Beach. She is currently at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.
