Summary: Football fever has returned to Iowa City. In the 1980s and 90s, legendary coach Hayden Fry carried his Iowa Hawkeyes from the ranks of also-rans to a position of national prominence. After he left, the team went into a rebuilding mode under new head coach Kirk Ferentz, Fry's assistant for nine seasons.
