Guide to Adapting Instructions on Condom Use

Summary: An increasing number of programs are distributing condoms for family planning &/or the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including AIDS. Since condoms are effective only if used properly, it is necessary to supply clear instructions to condom users, to help new users learn how to use condoms, and reassure experienced users that they are using them correctly. This report proposes two versions of a fl...yer that illustrates and explains proper condom use. It was developed by the WHO to be adapted by nat. programs for use in their own country.
