See, out here in this cold world as a man all you have is your name and your balls, understand? So here I am in 2005, a successful investment banker coming up from nothing!!! One pair of shoes and a couch, thirty-one living in my mother’s house, looking back at all the years that passed by, all the people that came and went in my life like four seasons, as I look back at all the drugs, the guns and the bodies I remember when the city took a devastating hit. Crack hit the community full blast, and the authorities couldn’t control the epidemic. It was like a plague; families destroyed, careers destroyed, and drug posses took over the streets like they owned them. Due to the amount of drugs and guns on the street, brothers ran wild to get all they could. Dealers cleared over one million a week. The situation was crazy! There were no rules out there, only codes to the streets, and Flatbush had it the worst with over 100,000 Jamaicans, Haitians, Basins, Trinies, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Colombians, Vietnamese, Panamanians and Americans fighting for territory. It was sick, war after war all for the money. My name is Skar, and these are my war stories…
