Learned about the different parts of the integumetary, skeletal form, how the body processes, operates and functions on a daily bases. The human body is magnificent and amazing; it is very complex and yet simple. I learned about diseases, diagnosis, symtoms, immune system just to name a few things. Terrific learning tool, you have to read it over and over because of all the interesting information given.
This book was just an interesting read all around. It was very awesome to read and even more wonderful to understand. I like the way the book came with the cd that basically breaks everything down.read more
It was the break down of all the information. My instructor was very difficult to understand but with this book and the cd that came along with it, things were a lot easier to understand.
This book was soooo helpful! I can not even express how much I used this book during my A and P class, it was my Bible for one semester. There is so much information but the way it is organized and written makes it really easy to follow and made me understand even the most complicated and confusing topics.read more
This book, in my opinion, was better than most A and P books. All books contain a lot of vocabulary and really important information but not every book is easy to understand. Sometimes it is still hard to follow what they are explaining which is reallly frustrating, but in this particular book everything was easy to understand which made preparing for class a lot more stress-free than previous textbooks for biology type classes.
We barely used this book, most of our instruction was by lecture. One thing I noticed about the book is that, in the chapter over the reproductive system, they had some inaccurate information. They stated that most Americans are circumcised for health reasons and that circumcision is done to prevent HIV infection and for hygiene reasons. Both of those claims are false.read more
The tables, charts, and diagrams helped me to better understand the material.
