Summary: The early years of the twentieth century produced a flood of postcards. Almost all aspects of existence were pictured over and over again. Holidays were a favorite topic, and the quality of the art and printing were frequently excellent as such cards sold well. Easter cards, like Easter itself, encompasses many themes. The resurrection of Christ, the ostensible occasion for the holiday, was infrequently remembered. A...ngels and cherubs frequently appear. Spring and its flower were very common, for Easter is a celebration of the rebirth of life.
