I would probably change the order of the contents. In my class, we were skipping thru chapters back and forth, maybe get a syllabus review and make the book follow most of them.

It was Earth Science, the book was the center of attention. Everything in the book we covered however in much simpler and deeper into.

I found the section on volcanoes fascinating. I thought it provided the student with a lot of knowledge about them.

Nothing. This textbook was well written and is filled with plenty of information about earth science.

My class was specifically called Earth Science so this book was very fitting for the name. I recall studying the many different elements that cover the earth and how they came about.

Science was always one of my favorite subjects in school so refreshing my memory and going into more detail on topics I have learned about in my elementary, middle school and high school careers was very helpful.

This book is easy to read and to understand. They are many keys to help you summarize the chapter. I really enjoyed every chapter. The pictures help you keep you interest and the information is absorbing and it made me want to learn more about Earth science.

A informational cd rom would be very helpful in finding information.

I used this textbook for my entry level geology class, and while I thought it was informative we actually did not use the book much as the professor often strayed. With that being said I definitely learned the basics of geology solely from this textbook.

Everything from meteorology, plate tectonics, astronomy and oceanography is well examined in this textbook for entry level purposes.

The primary subject was explaining the earth and the science of it. This book was very effective in explaining earth science and made it very clear.

I learned about the water cycle and other concepts that helped me to get an A in my earth science class!

What I found interesting was the Earth's Four Spheres and how detail the book explains them. Why? well, because I never knew about them and their proper terms use for water, air, life, and land. "atmosphere biosphere hydrosphere geosphere."

nothing much, its a very good book I did not find not one least helpful chapter, everything thing in the book was mind filling.
