This book is good when learning about the earth and geology. It covers many concepts concerning the evolution of the earth.

This book provided a basic but thorough base of knowledge to build off of, it covered broad concepts such as earth formation, continent structure and formation, and basic atmospheric factors that contribute to earth formation.

This book was required, although we never really used it. I did use it on my own when I had a hard time understanding the lecture material, and overall the book did a decent job of expanding the material.

I learned about the basics of geology: types of rocks, rock formations, how rock is formed, etc. Essential for anyone going into mining, the oil fields, and some types of engineering.

Breaking up the text more would make it easier to retain the information.

Great graphics provided information about geological timing.

Was a lot like other books on the same subject but was still very descriptive.

There was a good amount of descriptions for the different parts of geology.
