Summary: Alan Noell has been an active research mathematician in the field of several complex variables since he earned his Ph.D. degree from Princeton University in 1983. He has been a Co-Principal Investigator on an EPSCoR grant and an ILI Leadership grant, and a Faculty Associate on an REU grant, all funded by the National Science Foundation. In addition he has been a Co-PI on the project "Mathematics without Calculus" fun...ded by the Course and Curriculum Development program of the NSF. For several summers he has been involved with summer academies for junior high and high school students under grants funded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, developing curriculum using real-world problem solving, as well as elementary probability and statistics.
