Cover Too Deep

Summary: Aaron puppydog” St. Pierre is an idealistic young CIA officer, whose future holds wedding plans, a family and an exciting career in espionage. On his first major assignment, he is sent to Cuba to infiltrate a group of rebels who the CIA believe are plotting to overthrow Fidel Castro. It is expected to be an easy assignment, but the casually planned infiltration quickly turns into a nightmare. Aaron’s friend and partn...er is recognized and tortured. To stay alive in the hopes of rescuing his partner, Aaron has to rely on his cover as a drug-dealing rapist. His worst fears are realized when the rebels present him with a kidnapped female tourist to test his cover. Aaron’s belief in himself and his relationship with his victim, his employers, and his fiancée are put to the ultimate test. Cuba forms the background for the novel, with its gentle mountains and waterfalls, flora and fauna. Action begins with a kidnapping in these mountains, followed by chase scenes in Toronto, Canada, and concluding in an American courtroom in the CIA’s hometown. [read more]
