There were several Physics subjects and mutliple practice problems. I was glad I was able to use it for both semesters of Physics.read more
The primary subject is the social problems that individuals face when dealing with environmental issues and the unintended consequences of environmental problems in societies. It was good, but my professor did use supplemental materials.
No it does not compare. I believe the examples and practice problems in the text really prepare you for the actual physics exams questions the professors will be giving you. It's a great book that really simplifies the mathematics of physics.read more
Physics 101 102 103 104. It is mainly a text required for 100 level physic courses. Which provides students with a great foundation for physics if they choose to enroll in higher level phyics courses after freshmen year.
the way physics can be applied to most areas of your life.read more
i liked this book, maybe simplify some of the end of chapter problems.
The book was great. I can't think of anything that would need to be altered.read more
The example were on point. I learned a lot. I understood the concept and it was not difficult to read. The examples after every topic and the step-by-step run of how to solve the problem was such a great help!
For the first half of the book I did not use it in class but the second half I did. I did not learn much from the book because I had a hard time following the equations and examples and there were not enough I thought.read more
This book was not as easy to use as other books. I thought that there could have been more practice problems that were better explained on how one got to the correct answer.
This class is the first physics course required for pre-medical majors. The course covered the study of mechanics, heat, sound, and light.read more
Clearly written and easy to understand, problems were worked our clearly
The entire book was a waste. I found no help in understanding lecture or lab based on the contents of this book. There was not enough information or examples to effectively assist students.read more
The subject of this book is the principles and applications of physics. This book was not effective in helping students understand the concepts. There was not enough background information nor a variety of examples of how the concepts could be used.
The problems were good practice to help better understand the material.read more
I learned about optics and waves. The problems in the book really helped to learn this material.
