China! New Art & Artists

Dian Tong, an historian of Chinese art and the owner of the Tao Water Gallery in Barnstable, Massachusetts, specializes in the work of Chinese artists. She began work on this book during the China/Avant Garde exhibition in Beijing in 1989, but after the Tiananmen Square incident, she had to abandon the work and her notes as she moved to the United States. When she returned to China to continue her work on this book, she found that her materials had been safely cared for by family, and are now a part of this new work.Tong, Dian is the author of 'China!
