More easily understood language; that is, the text can sometimes be wordy and difficult to follow for a new student to chemistry.

This book gives very detailed explanations of its subject matter and provides an array of experiments and illustrations.

Personally, my favorite part of the book was gas laws, but otherwise, everything should be interesting to anyone who is looking into going into chemistry as a career/academic pursuit.

This book covers fundamental and inorganic chemistry. As a textbook it is very comprehensive and seems to have been proofed many times. It covers everything fairly well.

The class that I had to use this book for was a general education chemistry class. The class was a very challenging course that provided theories and calculations chemistry related. The class was very fast paced so using the book allowed me to keep up with things.

The most interesting thing I learned from this book was organic molecules. I learned what exactly organic molecules were, how to name them, and how to draw them. The book provided helpful examples that allowed us to practice and really get a better understanding of the subject. I had so much fun with it that I used the book to help my friends learn and be their "teacher". I thought this topic was interesting because it was really unlike any other topic we had discussed in chemistry. It's like it's own language.

The practice problems after each chapter were very helpful in preparing for exams.

This book was essential for Chemistry 141 and Chemistry 142. Methods are explained in each chapter in easy to follow language.

The professor doesn't actually cover the material in the book so that it is ensured that the info is in the exams.

Chemistry, adequate. The covered the general topics that needed to be discussed in the class.

Everything in it was very interesting. I didn't find just one specific thing to be more interesting than the others.

The practice questions are too hard and in depth. They need to be made easier so people could actually learn how to do the equations.

I loved this chemistry book. There are practice problems at the end of each chapter, which helps reinforce the information taught throughout the chapters.

This book offers additional practice problems to help ensure that you understand the information and offers a brief review as well.

This book was definitely written by someone fluent in the information. However, I believe that sometimes that hindered it as a teaching tool because it was meant for someone well versed in Chemistry. Overall though, it was a good textbook.

At times this book was hard to understand because you needed difficult information built on itself rather quickly.

I wouldn't know what to change. I enjoyed the book!

I learned a lot about chemistry due to the color in the pages.

I feel it wasn't as detailed and sorted out as the newer editions.

I learned a lot from this book since it was a chemistry class.
