I would change the fact that only some of the problems are in the book and explained. Some of the harder questions were not explained and made it difficult.

The subject is chemistry, it will cover most all materials but some of the problems weren't explained as well as it should've

The readings for each chapter were less useful to me, unless I needed clarification on a subject presented in lecture. My professor had great presentations on each subject though, so depending on how the information is taught you may find it more or less useful.

This book was used for gen chem 1 and 2, to prepare us for the standardized ACS exam.

This book was used for General Chemistry I & II. Both classes covered kinetics, thermodynamics, intermolecular forces, basic organic chemistry, and rate laws.

This book made it easy to understand and learn Chemistry concepts.

The whole book was helpful because it was broken down into sections that are easy to comprehend. It would teach one concept very thoroughly before it adds onto that concept.

Basic Chemistry. I learned about simple chemistry.

The book wasn't extremely helpful, and I found the lectures in class more beneficial.

I took chemistry during the summer. It was a 4-week course, which was extremely difficult. Each day, we had over 20 practice problems to review. The book helped with the practice problems, because it gave example problems beforehand and there were answers to the odd problems in the back of the book. For exams. I wrote down the most important things in the chapter and the reviewed them. The book was a good supplement to the course, because it explained some of the objectives that were not thoroughly taught in class.

The book could have included the answers to the even numbers. There were only answers to the odd numbered problems. This hindered the class, because the teacher had to go over the even numbered problems that she assigned instead of going over the class material. If the answer was provided, the class could have had some knowledge of what to work towards.
