The book is pretty great lots of details. Only think I would change is vocabulary list at end of chapter.

How we process sugar and carbs. And how each organ has a certain way to process the carbs and food. Also why diabetes is the pancreas not being able to make insulin for the body.

A better understanding about the world around us. The way I viewed society before has forever been changed.

After completing my class with this book, I feel as though I can psychologically analyze and diagnose anyone.

This book covers a wide range of introductory material on biology. The illustrations and side discussions were very engaging.

I found all parts useful. This probably has something to do with the fact that I absolutely love the subject matter that it covered. I would read this book just for fun!

This book was very helpful for me in my Biology 101 class. It broke things down simply and was very colorful and fun to look at.

The primary subject of this book was Biology. I think that it was very effective in covering the subject. They made it more easy to comprehend with very good illustrations and graphics. I thought it was a good book for this material especially considering science is not the easiest subject for me

This book is very helpful and if you don't understand something in class you can always read it by yourself in the book. I don't have any bad things to say about this book!

I really learned a lot about the plant and animal cells. This book really breaks down how they work and how life can form.

How to pass my class. I didn't attend lectures, so this book was key.

It summarizes key terms well, and has good diagrams that really foster understanding.

There is a lot of reading involved. There were a few topics I didn't care for but not necessarily that was not helpful.

I like learning about the concepts and how everything comes together. Very interesting.

I liked the layout of the chapters. The topics were easy to read because they were presented in short article types.

It can go into detail too much. I wish they would point out the most basic need to know info more clearly.

The primary subject is biology. The book was very effective. It helped me really grasp the concept of biology.

The most interesting thing I have learned is the make up of DNA and how the body works because I go to learn what my body is really made of. That really fascinates me.

The features of this book that were the most useful were the beginning chapters.

If this book elaborated more and stopped being so boring.

I loved the end of chapter review questions. They were very thorough and made me go back in the chapter to see where I actually read the answer. I also liked how each chapter had its own sections. Made making notes much easier. Every time an exam approached, I read all of the chapters that I needed and I would look at the concept questions and that helped as well.

The most interesting that I learned about this book was that there are actually different solutions to see if it's positive or not. For example, the Benedict's reagent is used to determine the presence of reducing sugars. Another one is the Lugol's iodine that is used to determine the presence of starch. I used these in a lab and that was very interesting to me to see the color changes or texture like.

The primary subject was about reproduction, genetics and other things related to biology

If it had better pictures and a simpler way of explaining the material
