With a combined knowledge of anatomy, physiology, & the emotional complexities of the human heart, the mother, a professional nurse & counselor (with memberships in the International Honor Society of Nursing & the American Holistic Nurses' Association), tells the story. She describes the inhumane, degrading "treatments" that were imposed by unknowing professionals..."treatments" which badly fragmented the family unit. The story illustrates the many obstacles present in our society which can deter or even halt the actualization of our inherent potential. Family members triumphed, however. The young woman, is now a Summa Cum Laude graduate, a creative teacher, & already published in her field. The mother (spirit renewed), recently won two Gold Medals in the inaugural event of the International Senior Games (1996).
