This book offers excellent insight into the nature of humanity and culture. The Embers do a fantastic job expounding upon all that anthropology has to offer; while, doing the academics work of being guides not dogmatists. They expose the reader to impartial views and numerous stand points so the student receives a complete picture of diverse anthropological topics. Great introductory text. Recommended to anyone desiring a deeper understanding of human nature and culture.

First anthropology book. I picked this specific text book up via the recommendation of Tai Lopez's book of the month, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great introductory text for the subject. Easily accessible and digestible for any reader. Full of insight for new comers of anthropology.

How anthropologists find their evidence and how they construct their claims. It was really interesting to see how much we can learn from history and how we can prevent bad things from happening

Clear chapters, it was set up nicely because it starts really early on in the begining chapters and makes its way to the newer history.

I learned about the origins of culture and the emergence of homo sapiens.

I learned about human evolution, including genetics, human variation and adaptation. This is fascinating as it discusses creationism and intelligent design.

This book was helpful and self explanatory and useful for each assignment it was used for.

Intro to Anthropology, the course is a requirement at my school for almost all degree plans now.

This is the only book that I did read in this subject area. It explained the subject very well and gave me a better understanding of what Anthropology really is.

The most useful thing that I learned in this book was the transition of how people came to be about from monkeys (hominids to hominids).

I actually really enjoyed how this book was set up. It had real life studies that showed a lot of the applied anthropology practices and I learned a lot about different cultures around the world.

Everything from why a problem started in a culture to how it was resolved, the pros and cons of anthropology and applied anthropological studies that were easily related back to every day life.
