When we ordered this book there was no indication as to how long it would take to receive it. We assumed it would be received within 2 wks., as we have experienced with previous orders through a number of sellers for the past 6 years. My son needed the book for a class that started on Jan. 14; they provide online access to the required materials for the 1st 2 wks. of class to ensure the student can get his book. That period ended and i checked to see what the status was, and all the page said was "shipped", and a notation that we couldn't report the book as "lost" for another week. There was no tracking number, just a delivery confirmation number. Expecting it to arrive anytime, we waited until Weds. Jan. 30, the last day before we could complain, and it still hadn't arrived. My son tried to muddle his way through the 3rd week's assignments without a book, but it was impossible. We had to then buy a book from the college bookstore and a cost of nearly $210.00, compared to the $83.94 we had paid for the missing book so that he could complete his assignments. The book finally arrived on Thurs., Feb. 6, 8 days after the "claim lost" date. Not only was it terribly late in arriving, it had been sent via USPS in a large brown paper envelope, which had several rips on the sides which easily could have enlarged enough for the book to fall out of. It's a miracle it didn't. We sell things on eBay sometimes, and ALWAYS package items securely and appropriately for shipment. I sent you 2 emails regarding this, with NO response, and sent one to the seller, again with NO response. We are extremely unhappy with this purchase experience, and have contacted our state Attorney General's office regarding the situation. Since then the book arrived and we are currently waiting to hear from them as to what we should do. If CulbertsonMediaGroup will credit our account (the VISA used to make the purchase) with the purchase price and shipping (total of $83.94) AND provide us with a return mailing label, we will drop the complaint with the Attorney General. I feel that is a fair resolution, after all, we did have to pay more than twice as much for the book. Please respond to this ASAP. Our complaint is not with ValoreBooks; I have ordered through you previously with no problems. But the seller's business habits are not very professional, and I will not purchase from them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Thank you for your assistance. Diana Maier 317-788-0285
Book was listed as new which it obviously is not. Order was placed on January 12th, shipping label was not even printed until February 1st. Book was shipped in a plain envelope with no protection.
I realize I bought a discounted book, BUT I also requested a new edition and when I received it, it was written in and pages had been dogearred.
Seller was quick to answer my questions and book was sent and received in the condition the seller said it was in. Very happy to get this new book with CD at such a great price!!
