Summary: George H. Cassar received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of New Brunswick and his Ph.D. from McGill University. He is presently Professor of History at Eastern Michigan University, where he has taught European and military history since 1968. His output is extensive and includes half a dozen books on various aspects of the First World War as well as co-authorship of A SURVEY OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION (1987).
