Bread Winner

Summary: Arvella Whitmore grew up in Great Bend, Kansas. She holds a master's degree in speech and theater from the University of Iowa. Before starting her career as a children's author, she taught speech and theater, married and raised four children, and wrote and directed plays which were performed in the Minneapolis Public Schools.She currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she is a full-time writer.
