He has also served as contributing editor on guides to Mexico, New Mexico, and other ports of call for John Muir Publications, Fodor's, Birnbaum and Access guides. He is a past president of Pen New Mexico and currently president of the New Mexico Book Association. When not traveling, Richard writes and lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. British-born Robert Holmes is a veteran travel photographer whose work appears regularly in books, calendars and in nearly all of the major travel magazines, including National Geographic Traveler, Islands and Sunset.
